Scary scene from the Colorado Avalanche's 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars on Friday night: Avs forward TJ Galiardi sent Mark Fistric into the boards on a check ? only Fistric tumbled through the penalty box door and slammed his side into the open frame. Ouch:
Fistric was shaken and left the ice, but didn't appear to miss a shift for the Stars. Good thing for Galiardi, too, or else Fistric might have added him to the bucket list.
Meanwhile ? what's going on with the Stars? Four losses in a row, and Defending Big D says the offense has gone frigid:
Not only have the Stars lost four games in a row, they haven't scored a single goal in the last two games. In fact their scoreless stretch is over 170 minutes long as they last scored midway through the first period against Detroit last Saturday.
One positive sign: Loui Eriksson got Brenden Morrow and Mike Ribeiro going against Colorado, even if the line couldn't convert for a goal. They host the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
