Teemu ?One More? Selanne announces he?s back for Ducks

Just when Teemu Selanne couldn't get any more pimp, he announces he's back for another run with the Anaheim Ducks on a video message to the fans:

Ducks Blog has the contract details:

The Register has learned that Selanne, 41,has signed a one-year contract worth $4 million. The contract does not include any bonuses, which he is eligible for being that he is over 35.

There had been talk that Selanne wanted to "test his surgically repaired left knee under high-intensity camp conditions before making a commitment for a 19th season" in the NHL, according to the Register. But the Finnish Flash also said he wanted to announce his future as soon as possible, and hopefully before camp.

Selanne had 31 goals and 49 assists in 73 games last season, including 34 power-play points. It's not hyperbole to say that his return to the Ducks dramatically increases the chances they'll return to the Western Conference Playoffs. It's the difference between being a one-line team and having one of the greatest goal-scorers in NHL history on the second unit. Which is a pretty big difference, by our math.

Welcome back, Teemu. More on a "classy guy" from Head To The Net.
