Woe Canada.If the Stanley Cup playoffs were to begin on Tuesday when the NHL schedule resumes after the All-Star break, the Vancouver Canucks and the Montreal Canadiens would be carrying the weight of hockey-mad Canadians on their shoulders.
The geographical bookends are in the top eight in the Eastern and Western conference. But when it comes to the rest of the pack - the Ottawa Senators, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers - the mush is spread across the rest of the country.
That's two-thirds of Canada's NHL teams looking for answers.
