Coming off Wednesday's 8-1 dismantling of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins are in Montreal Thursday night for the tail end of a back-to-back set of games. They'll be playing without the NHL's leading scorer, Sidney Crosby. According to head coach Dan Bylsma, Crosby returned to Pittsburgh with an upper body injury that he suffered during Wednesday's win.

Said Bylsma, via the team's website, "We knew at one point in the (Tampa) game last night and after the game, and waking up this morning we were seeing how he was reacting to his injury. When he woke up this morning we decided he was not going to play in the game tonight, and he'd be evaluated back in Pittsburgh. At this point we're making sure he's ready and able to play when he does get back in there."

Crosby is currently having one of the best seasons of his career, leading the NHL both in goals (32) and total points (66) entering Thursday's action. He's also the Penguins best option in the faceoff circle, winning over 56 percent of his draws.
