The struggling San Jose Sharks made two personnel moves Tuesday, despite a two-game winning streak that followed their six-game slide.

In a trade, the Sharks brought forward Ben Eager in from Atlanta. Eager played 34 games with the Thrashers, posting three goals and seven assists for ten points. Eager is a tough, hard-nosed player who doesn't score much. In 298 NHL games, Eager has 30 goals, 62 points, and nearly 700 penalty minutes.

The Sharks also announced that they've claimed forward Kyle Wellwood off waivers from St. Louis. The former Canuck was signed by St. Louis after playing 25 games for Mytishchi Atlanti of the KHL. He scored 14 goals in 75 games for Vancouver last season.
