No. 1 Star: Brian Gionta, Montreal Canadiens
Down 2-0 in the second period, Gionta scored twice and would later beat Semyon Varlamov for the only goal in the shootout as the Canadiens came from behind to beat the Washington Capitals 3-2. Carey Price stopped 27 shots for his 25th win of the season.
No. 2 Star: Dwayne Roloson, Tampa Bay Lightning
A meeting of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference ended with a 4-0 Tampa shutout over the Philadelphia Flyers. Roloson made 38 saves and recorded his fourth shutout in 11 games since being acquired by the Lightning. Teddy Purcell scored a pair and Steven Stamkos put home his 39th of the year as Tampa extended their winning streak to six games.
No. 3 Star: Joe Pavelski, San Jose Sharks
Little Joe started the comeback for the Sharks after they found themselves own 3-0 to the Phoenix Coyotes midway through the second period. Pavelski scored twice and later would set up Patrick Marleau's shorthanded goal with 6:05 left that broke a 3-3 tie as San Jose was vicorious 5-3. Alex Stalock earned his first NHL win in his first career appearance after stopping nine shots in relief of Antti Niemi.
Honorable mention: Tim Thomas made 24 saves to earn his 24th win of the season and Patrice Bergeron scored his 17th as Boston slipped past Carolina 3-2 ... Dainus Zubrus scored with 5:43 remaining in the third period as New Jersey improved to 7-1-1 in the last nine games with a 2-1 win over Ottawa ... Colby Armstrong beat Tomas Vokoun in the Scott Clemmensen in the third round of the shootout as Toronto beat Florida 3-2. Nikolai Kulemin and Mikhail Grabovski each had two points ... Rene Bourque scored the only goal in the shootout and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 25 shots as the Flames beat Nashville 3-2 for their fifth straight victory ... Jonathan Bernier and Niklas Backstrom earned double shutouts and Pierre-Marc Bouchard tallied the winner in the shootout as Minnesota edged Los Angeles 1-0. In the shootout, Backstrom made this desperation skate save to keep the Kings off the board:
The Canucks capitalized on two of their three power play opportunities and Cory Schneider made 25 saves in a 4-1 win over Dallas ... Pittsburgh scored three times in a nine-minute span to erase a 2-0 deficit and Dustin Jeffrey scored in regulation and notched the shootout winner as the Penguins beat the New York Rangers 4-3. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 25 shots, includong all seven he faced in the shootout ... Kyle Okposo scored his first two goals of the season and rookie netminder Kevin Poulin made 25 saves as the Islanders beat Atlanta 4-1 ... Jonathan Toews scored all three of his points in the second period as Chicago erased a 3-2 Columbus lead en route to a 7-4 win. Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa, Fernando Pisani, and Brent Seabrook each had two points as the Blackhawks snapped a two-game skid.

Dishonorable mention: The Thrashers have won just five times in their last 18 games ... Jordan Staal was given a match penalty for a punch of Brandon Prust and faces an automatic one-game suspension.
