John Tortorella on Alex Burrows: 'I'd Try to Break His Ankle'

In the second period of Thursday's Rangers-Canucks game, which New York won by a 1-0 margin, giving Vancouver its first regulation loss since December 5, Alex Burrows and Marc Staal had an exchange in front of the net that resulted in Burrows spearing Staal between the legs. That, of course, was followed by Staal quickly dropping to the ice and then taking a whack at Burrows' skate.

The only penalty that came as a result of the exchange? A two-minute minor to Staal for tripping.
