James Engquist, Fan Struck by Rick Rypien, Says He Was 'Assaulted'

The National Hockey League appears prepared to deal with Vancouver Canucks forward Rick Rypien, who pushed a Minnesota Wild fan during Tuesday's game in St. Paul.

While the league does that, the fan who Rypien encountered doesn't sound prepared to fade away easily.

James Engquist, 28, of Mendota Heights, Minn., spoke to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune Wednesday. Engquist told his side of the story and noted to Russo that he plans to hire a lawyer, a statement that is bound to win him plenty of scorn in the hockey world.
