No. 1 Star: Dustin Brown, Los Angeles Kings
Brown tied a career high with a four-point night as the Kings rolled past Colorado 5-0. Assisting on Los Angeles' first two goals and then scoring their next two, the Kings' captain now has 22 points in 20 games. Jonathan Quick recorded his third shutout of the season making 23 saves and Brad Richardson scored his fifth of the season, fourth against the Avalanche.
No. 2 Star: Tyler Ennis, Buffalo Sabres
Ennis' two goals helped put the Sabres up 4-0 come early in the second period against the Anaheim Ducks en route to a 5-2 victory. It was Ennis' first multi-goal game of his career and pushed him into the top-10 in rookie points and tied for third in goals among all rookie skaters with nine. Ryan Miller made 21 saves and Buffalo captain Craig Rivet scored his first goal of the season after being a healthy scratch for the past 11 games. Corey Perry scored his 18th and 19th goals in the loss for Anaheim.
No. 3 Star: Ty Conklin, St. Louis Blues
Making only his second start this month, Conklin made 37 saves as the Blues held off the Atlanta Thrashers 5-2. Conklin made 15 saves in the third period to fend off a Thrashers team that had scored 13 goals in their past two games. Vladimir Sobotka and Alex Pietrangelo each scored a goal and had an assist. In the loss, Dustin Byfuglien scored his 12th goal for the Thrashers.
Honorable mention: Andrew Gordon scored his first NHL points with a goal and an assist and John Carlson added two points as Washington sent New Jersey to their ninth straight road loss, 5-1. Michal Neuvirth stopped 35 shots and won his 14th game as the Capitals won their second straight after an eight-game losing streak. They visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday ... Mathieu Garon made 29 saves and Columbus got goals from Jakub Voracek, Jared Boll and Rusty Klesla in their 3-1 win over Calgary. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Blue Jackets. Columbus improved to 13-2-0 on the season when scoring first. Klesla's goal was an empty-netter coming off a deep bank shot off the glass:
Loui Erikson scored and added an assist and Stephane Robidas recorded three assists as the Stars got past Montreal 5-2. Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves as Dallas won for the 10th time in their last 12 home games. With the win, the Stars have now gone 11-2-2 in their past 15 games ... Goals from Logan Couture and Dan Boyle 3:28 apart were enough for the Sharks to get by the Edmonton Oilers 2-1. Antero Niittymark stopped 26 shots for his third win against the Oilers this season. On Couture's 18th goal, the rookie helped create the odd-man rush that led to it:
Did you know? Rob Scuderi ended a 184-game goalless drought against Colorado. He last scored while as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 4, 2008.
Dishonorable mention: Flames defenseman Jay Bouwmeester was on the ice for all three Columbus goals and finished a minus-three ... Jason Blake received five minutes and a game misconduct for boarding Buffalo's Patrick Kaleta ... Carey Price has now lost four of his last five starts for the Canadiens.
