VANCOUVER, B.C. -- It has been a long time since NHL teams played with only one goalie in a game.
But the Colorado Avalanche found themselves in that position Tuesday night.
Colorado lost No. 1 netminder Craig Anderson -- who wasn't supposed to play anyway -- to a knee injury suffered in the warmup before a 4-3 overtime loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Coach Joe Sacco confirmed after the game that Anderson would fly back to Denver for evaluation.
A team spokesman said after the second period that Anderson is out indefinitely. He is expected to miss Thursday's game in Calgary.
