No. 1 Star: David Moss, Calgary Flames
The Flames ended the eight-game road winning streak of the Dallas Stars in a 7-4 shootout with Moss contributing two goals and an assist. Moss has only scored in three games this month for Calgary, each saw him net a pair. Jarome Iginla was one of four Flames with a goal and an assist as the Calgary captain reached the 20-goal mark for the 12th straight season.
No. 2 Star: Tomas Plekanec, Montreal Canadiens
The Canadiens took a 2-0 lead just 3:45 into their game with the Ottawa Senators and would pile it on in the second and third periods with five more during a 7-1 rout. Plekanec scored his 15th and 16th goals of the year and finished a plus-3, while Carey Price stopped 33 shots for his 24th win. James Wisniewski and Scott Gomez each recorded two assists, while Andrei Kostitsyn and Max Pacioretty each had a goal and a helper.
No. 3 Star: Kevin Poulin, New York Islanders
Poulin started the game on the Islanders bench, but was forced into action when starter Nathan Lawson left the game after the first period. Spotted a 2-0 lead over the Buffalo Sabres, Poulin would stop 26 of the 28 shots he faced as the Islanders beat the Sabres 5-2. Michael Grabner scored for the fourth straight game with a two-goal effort
Honorable mention: The Canadiens cashed in on two of their three power play opportunities to improve to 7-1-2 in their previous 10 games ... Sabres forward Nathan Gerbe set a franchise record by scoring two goals in five seconds ... Dan Ellis made 29 saves, including one late in overtime on Dennis Wideman, and Dominic Moore scored a controversial shootout winner as Tampa Bay slipped past Florida 2-1. Steven Stamkos recorded an assist to tie Sidney Crosby for the overall points lead with 66. Panthers goaltender Tomas Vokoun kept his team in by stopping this Vincent Lecavalier penalty shot in overtime:

Dishonorable mention: Ottawa goaltenders Mike Brodeur (four goals) and Brian Elliott (three goals) could not stop much of what they faced as the Senators fell to 0-4-1 in their last five games ... Buffalo finished 27-for-67 in the faceoff circle ... Florida's power play is now 0-for-11 in their past two games ... Panthers forward Mike Santorelli saw his seven-game point streak come to an end ... Stars goaltender Andrew Raycroft allowed seven goals and lost for the first time in five starts.
