The Boston Bruins certainly missed Phil Kessel's goal-scoring ability last season, but the trade that sent him to Toronto in exchange for multiple draft picks certainly has the potential to be a long-term win for the franchise. One of the picks Boston received was the No. 2 overall selection in June's entry draft, which was used on forward Tyler Seguin.

On Sunday, during the Bruins 3-0 win against the Phoenix Coyotes the 18-year-old rookie netted his first NHL goal, beating Ilya Bryzgalov on a breakaway midway through the third period. Seguin gloved an airborne pass from Michael Ryder and tossed it to the ice in stride before lifting a backhander past Bryzgalov.
