The Colorado Avalanche show no signs of missing retired superstar Joe Sakic in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Avalanche continued their Cinderella season Wednesday night as they edged the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in their Western Conference quarterfinal series.
