Waffles Return to Toronto, Play Halted

A little over a week ago fans -- or a single rogue fan, tough to tell at this point -- in Toronto voiced their displeasure with the local hockey team by throwing waffles on the ice during a stoppage in play. It was a bizarre statement, and it's difficult to know what, exactly, that statement was. During the Maple Leafs visit to Vancouver on Saturday, the Canucks "green men" joined the fun by taunting players in the penalty box with a giant box of Eggo's

On Monday, during Toronto's 6-3 loss to the first place(!) Atlanta Thrashers, a Maple Leafs fan again decided to make a statement with a frozen breakfast by tossing a number of waffles on the ice while the play was going on.
